As a member of the Travel Media Association of Canada and a board member of their Ontario Chapter, we partnered with Niagara Falls Canada Tourism for a two-day, one night experience earlier this year.
Yes, I’ve been here dozens of times over the years, however this time, there are new attractions that made my experience additionally exciting.
Here’s how I spent time there.
Spending time with Canada’s liquid currency on “The Maple Trail”
Adding allure to Niagara Falls is their newest attraction; The Maple Trail.
Found in Maple Leaf Place, the 5,000 square foot area is devoted to all things maple syrup.
Admire the 30 foot tall crystal maple tree, along with a display of hundreds of bottles of Canadian gold.
From historical audio and visual information available in eight languages, to a delicious tasting bar, to the on-site bottling production line, drink in the history of a key part of Canada’s heritage.
Learn At Niagara Falls History Museum
Recently renovated and blending modern design with hundreds of well-presented local artifacts, the Niagara Falls History Museum welcomes you to learn about the area.
Interactive multimedia displays, an open concept layout and detailed information all contribute to to teaching visitors about the storied history of Niagara Falls.
Once you’ve wrapped up there, take the very short walk to the Drummond Hill Cemetery, the pivotal point for the famed “Battle of Lundy's Lane.” Interestingly, it’s also a nationally recognized heritage site and the burial site of Laura Secord.
Get charged up with Currents: Niagara's Power Transformed exhibit
A sight and sound extravaganza extraordinaire awaits you within the storied walls of the Niagara Parks Power Station.
A perfectly executed balance of music and lights, this is the benchmark of how to revitalize an existing structure, bathe it in history for a modern audience and do it flawlessly.
It’s smartly split into three parts: The beginning, harnessing the power, and the reawakening.
Soak in the Falls with Niagara City Cruises
The best way to see the majestic falls up close and personal is via Niagara City Cruises. You get to pick the upper or lower deck and while I selected the upper one, there’s still a terrific and drier view view the lower deck.
This 20-minute excursion gives you a lovely view of Bridal Veil Falls, along with plenty of photographable moments of the sheer power of the falls.
Ravine Vineyard’s wonderful wine and views
This multiple-award winning, fifth-generation family business offers wonderful wine and vibrant views.
With several wine offerings, delicious dining options and a picturesque location, pop by at some point during your visit.

Friendly service, terrific wine pairings and delectable food options all come together for a memorable experience in an approachable and upscale atmosphere.

Pairing locally sourced food with an unbeatable view of Niagara Falls helps Table Rock House Restaurant be one of the best all-around dining spots in Niagara Falls.
