Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City: What do I do if I find a pothole?
/Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about potholes.
What do I do if I find a pothole?
Potholes are bowl-shaped depressions in the pavement and are usually the result of a combination of factors, related to weather conditions and traffic. With temperature changes – from freezing to thawing – there may be more potholes present at this time of the year. If you do see a pothole on a City road, you can:
Report it by submitting an online service request at mississauga.ca/services or use the Pingstreet mobile app.
Call 311 (905-615-4311 outside City limits)
What happens next? Once you’ve submitted the service request, the City will do an inspection within three business days to make sure the area is safe. If more work is required, the City will add it to the job list. You can check the status of your request here.
If you’ve got a question about the City, we want to hear from you!
