The largest South Asian festival in Canada, #BollywoodMonster Mashup presented by TD Bank Group, kicks off with an Instagram Live meet & greet (@monstrARTity) on Aug 29 @ 12pm EST with Raftaar (known for Dhaakad from the film Dangal) and Javed Ali (known for Kun Faya Kun from the film Rockstar). Then, families can tune in to the interactive #BollywoodMonster KidZone brought to you by Tim Hortons from Sep 6-9 @ 4pm EST on Facebook Live (@BollywoodMashup), along with live interviews and #MonsterArts for Seniors showcases. Concerts from Sep 10-11 @ 6pm EST on Facebook Live (@BollywoodMashup) include performances by Raftaar, Javed Ali, Harshdeep Kaur (known for Dilbaro from the film Raazi), Priyanka, special Bollywood x Caribbean original acts, and more. Fans will get behind-the-scenes access via the #BollywoodMonster Concert AMA brought to you by OLG.

This year Indians, Pakistanis, Guyanese, Jamaicans and people from all backgrounds are cooking up good times for you,” says festival Executive Director Vikas Kohli. “We’re going big with Bollywood stars Raftaar, Javed Ali, Harshdeep Kaur, and Canada’s Drag Race winner Priyanka. We’re going interactive with live Q&As, contests, and days of family activities. We’ve got Bollywood dance meets Backstreet Boys, we’ve got Chutney meets a brass band, we’ve got kids’ crafts, we’ve got dance lessons for seniors. Another festival highlight will be an original music & dance production created by Kohli and Ev Harris entitled #BollywoodMonster Orchestra: Raags to Riddim. Fans will witness a live band mashup hit Bollywood songs with hit Reggae & Dancehall songs, accompanied by original choreography by Melissa Marie. Get ready for Pon De Replay by Rihanna, One Love by Bob Marley, Jump in the Line by Harry Belafonte and more spiced up with South Asian flavours.

Hosting this year are Emmy Award winner Patricia Jaggernauth, Canadian Screen Award winner Amish Patel, TV personality and podcaster Amin Dhillon, and media personality Dilshad Burman.
