Love Local Art Shop
Every weekend until September 5, you can shop and support local #MississaugaMade artists at the Love Local Art Shop – a charming shipping container turned pop-up shop at Celebration Square. Pop in and browse a new selection of unique and original artwork by the City of Mississauga’s Resident Artists. Whether you’re looking for jewellery, ceramics, glass art or more, you’ll find what you’re looking for at the Love Local Art Shop. The Shop is open every Friday to Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m.

“Mississauga is home to so many fantastic, creative artisans and unique shops and restaurants,” said Mayor Bonnie Crombie. “Drop by the Love Local Art Shop or visit one of the many businesses around the city to find what you’re looking for. Let’s help our local business owners get back on their feet after a long and difficult year.”

Neighbourhood Portraits
As you’re out and about exploring all the city has to offer this summer, keep an eye out for the #MississaugaMade street banners throughout the city. Tourism Mississauga, in partnership with the City of Mississauga’s Public Art team, worked with local Business Improvement Areas and commissioned local artist Asli Alin to design neighbourhood portraits for each village and neighbourhood around the city. The full collection of banners is also on display in the City Centre area.

“The unique and distinct neighbourhoods throughout our city contribute greatly to the rich diversity that makes Mississauga such a wonderful place,” said Toni Frankfurter, Chair, Tourism Mississauga. “This summer, be a tourist, explore an area you’ve never visited before in your own beautiful city and make it a staycation.  Take advantage of Tourism Mississauga’s It Pays To Stay program where guests receive a $100 prepaid VISA gift card when they book two or more consecutive nights at a participating Mississauga hotel.  It’s amazing how a couple of days away from the norm can rejuvenate your spirit.”

#MississaugaMade Marketplace
The #MississaugaMade marketplace is an online initiative inspired to support and promote local Mississauga products, businesses, artists, stories, services and experiences within our community. It was launched in August 2020 by Tourism Mississauga and includes over 700 local businesses across more than 50 business categories.

“With over 700 businesses, our #MississaugaMade marketplace is a great site to visit to find just what you’re looking for,” said Victoria Clarke, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Mississauga. “If in-person shopping is more up your alley, Mississauga has no shortage of unique shops to suit every style and budget.”
