Modern Entrepreneur Profile - Andi Kerenxhi
/In conversation with Mississauga’s Andi Kerenxhi, owner of Ubineer.
What inspired you to start Ubineer?
I have always loved learning about different companies and investing in the stock market. In my first job out of University, I worked with an all star team of Canadian software legends who taught me the ins and outs of financial analysis. I was fascinated by the process complexity required to make capital allocation and investment decisions.
As my work with them progressed, I began to think about the fact that the foundation of this process is extremely time consuming because of the vast amount of information gathering and data entry. I couldn't stop thinking that there had to be a better way to automate this process, to become more efficient and spend more time on the analysis and decision making rather than transcribing data and tweaking spreadsheets. Realizing that no one else had yet automated this process, I saw a huge opportunity to transform the financial analysis world and the idea for Ubineer was born. It was due to strong mentorship and encouragement from my family and a key team member that I became confident that I could be the one to do this.
What exactly does Ubineer do/provide?
Ubineer Corp. is a software company that helps Associates, Analysts, Portfolio Managers (PMs), and Chief Investment Officers (CIOs) automate their investment analysis processes and workflows.
We currently have two solutions that are currently commercialized in the market:

Our clients can capture historical information and insights without having to worry about updating it because our platform automates it for them. On average they save around 2,500 minutes per quarter.
AutoPilot- Analysis : Captures and generates custom industry, sector, and comparable company analysis reports for our clients saving them approximately 960 minutes per quarter.
What's been the most impactful lesson you've learned being an entrepreneur?
The importance of resilience and persistence. It is essential to have the ability to bounce back from constant setbacks and continue pushing forward towards the future you are building. This means being open to harsh feedback and learning from all the mistakes you will make.
How do you unwind?
Spending time with my family helps me unwind. I love seeing how quickly my two year old daughter is growing and constantly learning how to be a better person from my wife. Going for walks with my parents is what helps me recharge and stay grounded through the startup life.
What succinct advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?
Focus on solving a problem that they are passionate about and that they feel that they are here to solve. This will give them the motivation and drive they need to overcome the challenges that inevitably arise when starting a business. Additionally, I would recommend that they surround themselves with a strong support network. I would also encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to never give up and to always keep pushing forward, even when the going gets tough. It's not easy to shape the future and there is little valor on letting your dreams fade.
What are your goals for 2023?
Growth.
Growing revenue and clients exponentially while scaling our profitable operations.
Expanding our development team to increase our product cadence and integrating it into solutions. For example, we are currently building an AI generated due diligence and insights solution that will be called CoPilot.
Establish our company as a market leader by building our brand and showcasing the value we provide to our clients.
I can't wait; 2023 will be an incredible year for Ubineer Corp and for shaping the future of the investment world.
