Get up close and personal at Mississauga libraries this summer!

Mississauga’s 18 library locations are celebrating summer with a return to free live, in-person performances, engaging programs and activities for all ages happening throughout the season.

The doors are now wide open at all locations, with a range of more than 600 in-person and virtual programs and activities available. Enjoy weekly storytimes with the kids, LEGO clubs, Robotics, Book Clubs, Conversation Circles, family board games and game tournaments and more.

Looking for something special? Check out magic shows, bike safety and repair clinics, puppet shows, drumming workshops and reptile and animal shows.

It’s back! – TD Summer Reading Club. To help get families excited about the written word, the TD Summer Reading Club returns for another season. Known as the largest bilingual summer reading program for kids, this program helps build the joy of reading while showcasing Canadian writers and illustrators.

Families can get their kids involved in several ways:

  • Online at https://www.tdsummerreadingclub.ca/

  • In person – attend weekly Summer Adventures at all locations, with stories, songs, crafts, games and activities that celebrate the TD Summer Reading Club theme, Once Upon a Time.

  • Enter the “end-of-summer” grand prize draw; Visit the library in person at least three times to report your progress and get your entry ballot. Prizes include a Mini Adventure set (ages 3-5), a scooter (ages 6-8), and an Instax Camera (ages 9-12).

Want even more challenges and prizes?  Teens and adults are invited to complete three or more Summer Library Challenge activities for a chance to win one of 10 $100 Indigo Gift Cards.
