Exciting, exhilarating and especially hard working Canadian country singer songwriter Alessia Cohle has been immersed in music for nearly her entire life. Coming from a musical family, the "city girl with a country heart" and native of Mississauga is putting her own stamp on country music, one heartfelt song at a time.

She's enjoyed tremendous early successes from the 2015 release of her debut EP "Let's Get Gone" to widespread international radio play, several television appearances, and frequent visits to Nashville to continuously hone her craft. In Nashville, she’s also had the opportunity to collaborate with other talented songwriters and do some recording. “I go to Nashville all the time for songwriting trips…I love co-writing because you can bounce ideas off other people,” says Cohle. What better place for her to showcase her talents and grow as a songwriter than the capital of country music?

Her hard work, dedication and passion for music resulted in Alessia being awarded a full FACTOR grant and she's working with award-winning producers towards completing her first full length album, due out later this year. As someone who’s received a FACTOR grant in a previous life, I know just how hard the process is, and it’s a huge accomplishment for her.
"Sunday Shoes" kicked off as her debut single, complete with video, from the aforementioned "Let's Get Gone" EP and has quickly become a favourite among listeners - both new and loyal - and goes over quite well, especially during live performances.

Her captivating, soulful and “heart-on-her-sleeve” songwriting approach has consistently impressed audiences through numerous live performances, and the stage is truly her second home. When asked what makes live performance such an important part of her musical career, she says: "My dream onstage moment is when I can point the microphone to the crowd and have them sing my song back to me. It doesn't matter which song it is...that's my ‘I've made it’ moment." She’s performed most recently at the Mississauga Waterfront Festival and Ribfest, and with Alessia’s popularity quickly growing, expect to see her on many more stages in Mississauga and beyond.

Classically trained in voice and piano, Alessia’s desire to enhance her natural talents as a musician led her to the University of Western Ontario where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music, Honors Specialization in Music Education (Voice). She then earned acceptance into the inaugural class at the prestigious Berklee College of Music - Valencia Campus in Spain, where her hard work resulted in a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance degree. Now, she has the talent and the certification to back her up!

Alessia's eyes and ears for detail, passion for creating well-written music and unmatched drive and dedication have catapulted her forward tremendously in such a short amount of time.  Her ambition, drive and perseverance are unmatched and truly, the best is yet to come.

For everything she has already accomplished, this unique Canadian talent is only getting started.

She's got a new Go Fund Me campaign for her East Coast radio tour!
