Since the new year is right around the corner, there’s only a few days to figure out the best way to ring in the new year. Obviously you could pick the boring thing to do and just sit home and watch the celebrations on TV, but who really wants to do that?
Since this year it’s supposed to be incredibly cold (projected at – 14) I’ve compiled a list of the top six ways to celebrate the new year, without freezing your butt off!

Gage Park in Brampton
Always a good time, and free, this family friendly event is good for all ages. Headlining this year is the well known rock band, The Sheepdogs. It’s an all Canadian roster, so you will be able to find some of the best Canadian up and coming talent to bring in 2018 right. Because it is supposed to be really cold, you can go warm up by the fire, roast some marshmallows and enjoy!

Blue Mountain
Just outside of Collingwood, you can bet this will probably be the coldest location to visit. But don’t worry! This event is held indoors, so you won’t have to worry about freezing g your pretty little head off. The village of Blue Mountain is hosting g a “New years eve Gatsby Soiree”. A night dedicated to the 20s, the evening will be alight with bright lights, professional flapper dancers, and music to keep you dancing well into the night. This is an adults only affair, starting at 10,  so put on your best dancing shoes and prepare for a night that would do Jay Gatsby proud.

Niagara Falls
Held annually at Queen Victoria Park, this event is one of the televised ones, so if you have to stay in, you can live vicariously through the television. Featuring an all Canadian  line up of Marianas Trench, Simple Plan, Jess Moskaluke, and the James Barker Band, there will be no shortage of food or entertainment. The best part? It’s totally free!

Liberty Grand
Rumored to be the biggest new years eve party, the Liberty Grand at the exhibition place is hosting their countdown to New Years bash. With three different rooms and three different sounds, of you’re looking for a night you’ll never forget (or never remember) this is the place to go. Mod Club
A Big Sound NYE is hosted at the Mod club. This  is a motown orchestra bringing you the greatest motown hits played by 30 musicians. There’s no doubt about it, you’ll be dancing all night long! Tickets are 35 dollars or 45 at the door. Of you’re looking for a night of classics and fun, this is definitely the place to go.

Rebel Night Club
And at first place we have Rebel Night Club and their NYE party. If you’ve ever been to Rebel, you definitely know they know how to throw a good party. Always one of the best places to go for a good time, their New Years parties are always rumored to be the best there is. 19 plus and fashionable dress code in effect, have the time of your life bringing in 2018 at the best spot in the city.
