Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - How does the City regulate noise?
/Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about the City’s noise control by-law.
How does the City regulate noise?
The City of Mississauga is continuously working to ensure everyone who lives, works, learns and plays in Mississauga can enjoy a more liveable community – this includes how noise is regulated.
In fact, the City is currently working on updating its Noise By-laws to make them more responsive to our residents and neighbourhoods – such as potential changes to City processes in areas that permit periods for noise, the complaint response process and exemption permits.
How much is too much noise? Have your say by completing the City’s online survey on how noise should be regulated in Mississauga. The survey will be available until February 29, 2020.
If you’ve got a question about the City, we want to hear from you!
