What helps you stand out among others in your industry?
We are one of few multidisciplinary clinics that specializes in chronic pain and healing from trauma through hands on treatment and on-site movement therapy classes rather than prescription treatments like opioids or steroid injections. Our clients spend their appointments one-on-one with their therapist for the full appointment time and we do not use any modalities or machines that only provide temporary pain relief.

What are some misconceptions about pain management?
That pain management needs to be painful! We have heard too many stories of clients who have been afraid to seek therapy because they felt worse after seeing other professionals. You can absolutely achieve healing without using aggressive techniques that leave you more bruised afterwards.

What are some of the services you offer?
Myofascial Release (John Barnes MFR), Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yoga for adults and children, Pilates, Meditation, Tai Chi and soon to add RMT and Osteopathy. We also offer wellness workshops and info sessions to help empower our patients to access all of their body’s healing potential and learn how their body works.

Why did you pick Mississauga for your business location?
Mississauga is under served in the holistic wellness space when it comes to chronic pain specifically. Of the small number of MFR trained therapists in the GTA, there are no other Physiotherapists with this training in Mississauga. And it has been our home to our founders for the last 32 years!

What can clients expect when they visit you?
A thorough intake questionnaire including a discussion of past traumas, and lifestyle factors that may contribute to pain; a physical assessment that includes posture and function which helps identify areas of fascial restriction, and typically a 1 hour hands-on treatment session where clients often find some improvement of symptoms after their first session.

How can people connect with you on social media?
On Facebook and Instagram

What does 2020 look like for the business?
A year of growth, helping to heal more and more individuals in Mississauga and the surrounding areas suffering with chronic pain.
