Secondary features to consider when buying a car

Buying a car, for most, is the second largest purchase, outside of real estate.
Most of us gravitate towards price, fuel economy, safety features, engine size, cargo space, handling, and others. There also plenty of secondary features/aspects, and below, we’ll outline a few of them.

Brand
Yes, brand loyalty can be a deciding factor but it’s becoming increasingly common that someone who used to predominantly purchase a domestic offering, for example, is now considering an import based on some of the factors indicated in the opening paragraph.

Colour
Whether it’s a conservative colour (grey, white, black) or a flashy colour (red, yellow, green) it’s rare for someone to walk away from a certain car based on colour. Sure, consumers have preferences but if every other item on their list is checked off aside from colour, chances are they’ll still move forward with the purchase.
Mind you, there’s still those who are colour-loyal. Interestingly, red is one of the most popular car colors in the world.

Automatic Features
Power trunks, automatic headlights, automatic wipers, auto-hold, automatic memory seats…they’re nice convenient features but can be seen as secondary features.
The luxury car market has these, for the most part, as standard fare.
It’s the non-luxury market that sees more of these features as options.
