Learn about the picturesque 2022 Pumpkins After Dark walk-through experience

A short drive from good ol’ Mississauga is where you’ll an amazing autumn outdoor walk-through experience, Pumpkins After Dark (PAD.)

A 2021 Hamilton Halton Brant Innovative Tourism Award recipient and a 2021 Achievement Award winner from Festivals and Events Ontario, PAD is conveniently located at Country Heritage Park in Milton.

Here are some interesting figures about PAD:

They use over 6,000 pumpkins
There are 5 expert pumpkin carvers who bring this to life
2020 saw approximately 143,000 visitors experience PAD
There are live pumpkin carving demonstrations
It takes approximately 45-60 minutes to do the entire circuit
It’s stroller friendly

Using a combination of real and craft pumpkins, every pumpkin is hand-carved in the same artistic manner, using 2D and 3D techniques, as real jack-o-lanterns.

There are various themes, from Jurassic Park, classic movies, musicians, Greek Mythology, music and much more.

It takes their team of pumpkin carvers a year to create the displays. All pumpkins are hand drawn and carved by Canadian artists.

This family and pet friendly event is an easy way to fill your camera roll with meticulously carved pumpkins, dazzling displays and clever creativity.

Regarding how they select themes, their creative team creates themes and also take feedback from guests to give them what they’re looking for.

The event goes on rain or shine and guests explore the magical pathway of lit pumpkin sculptures and displays, with music, sounds and special effects.
There are portable bathrooms on site, along with very friendly team members.
